Incredible News! On 24th september 2017, Margo Hayes made the first female ascent of the milestone line “Biographie”(9a+) on one of the best cliffs for modern sport climbing: Céüse. This test piece of a route was first climbed by Chris Sharma in 2001 four years after he first tried it. Since then, this Kingline has only seen 14 repeats before her ascent and is known as the first confirmed 9a+! After Margo sended “La Rambla” ealier this year people started to discuss if “La Rambla” should be downgraded… In the meantime, many more ascents of “La Ramble” in 2017 further pushed that discussion… But now, by clipping the chains of Biographie no more doubts can rise that females can climb 9a+ (and even harder).
